In preparing for a solo exhibition American painter Landon Metz (b. 1985) was commissioned to portray his work process in his New York based West Street Studio through a camera lens, for two intensive weeks. This photo-book, published by Libraryman (Stockholm), presents the results of this effort, which is unique in its kind from the artist’s usual practice.
West Street Studio includes a 4-paged conversation between Landon Metz and American art curator Diego Cortez, as well as a poem written by the author.
A Special Edition of 25 numbered copies in unique monochrome hand-painted canvas slipcase— with signed woodblock print (8″ × 10″) – is also available.
I edited the interview for this one - it’s a great read, and the photos are fantastic (as usual)!
